P2 and P3 MASKS
P2 and P3 masks are the only ones recommended by all the world's major health organisations for bird flu. The 2 and 3 tells you the protection given. 2 is medium pretection, 3 is high. Sometimes they're known as FFP2 and FFP3 - the FFP stands for "Filter Face Piece".
Why VALVED is better
Our superior P2 an dP3 masks are valved. Why? The exhalation valve reduces heat and moisture inside the mask, making them far more comfortable to wear for long periods. So they last longer. And they offer far higher protection than unvalved masks.
Mask Lifetime
Under normal breathing conditions all our masks will easily last a day.
Masks should be disposed when they become dirty, damaged or soiled. A mask used in close contact with a known patient should be disposed immediately after use.
